Just a follow up post to the Orlando Scooter Society's second annual Snowbird Classic, duly named Camp Snowbird. The event started on Thursday evening, November 15 at the regular weekly hangout, Stardust Video and Coffee at 1842 E Winter Park Rd. Friday picked up at the same place at 2:00 as the local riders trekked out to the Wekiva Falls KOA campground in Sorrento, FL.

According to Wikipedia, Lane Splitting is described as this: A two-wheeled vehicle moving between lanes of vehicles that are proceeding in the same direction. More narrowly, it refers to passing stopped or slower moving traffic between lanes at a speed greater than surrounding traffic. It is also sometimes called lane sharing, whitelining, filtering, or stripe-riding. Alternatively, lane splitting has been used to describe moving through traffic that is in motion while filtering is used to describe moving through traffic that is stopped.

Locally run, Orlando Scooter Society is having their second annual Snowbird Classic Scooter Rally in November 2012! The dates are November 16 - 18. This year, it will be a camping rally held at a place to be determined. Registration is only $25 and will include the campsite and a t-shirt.

We are happy to help promote our St. Pete fellow scooterist's annual event. This year the Sun, Sand and Scooters Rally is to be held November 9 through 12, 2012 and is being presented by the St. Petersburg Scooter Club, located in beautiful, warm, St. Petersburg, FL. Thats only about 110 miles away.

What is great about this club is that almost every rally held in Orlando, these folks are there showing support and showing off their BEAUTIFUL bikes of all makes and models.
